Is Dental Sedation Covered by Insurance?

Most often, dental insurance won’t cover sedation for fearful, phobic, or anxious patients. However, at Back Mountain Dental, we help patients afford IV sedation dentistry by working with CareCredit, Springstone Financial, and Chase Health Advance. These three respected patient lending institutions offer low- and no-interest financing for qualified applicants.

That said, your actual procedure may be covered in part by your insurance. For instance, if you’re getting full-mouth reconstruction, your insurance will probably pay for part of the procedure. You’ll only need to finance your portion of the procedure, after insurance, and the cost of sedation. You can even pay part and finance part, if you like.

The real issue is, if you postpone the dental work you need, your oral health will only continue to deteriorate. Decay, disease, and damage do not heal naturally. Instead, these problems worsen over time. Our mouths are subjected to over 600 different types of bacteria, crushing pressure, and extreme temperature fluctuations every day. A little problem, under these extreme conditions, can only grow worse over time.

I’m Dr. Jamie DeFinnis, and I want to invite you to schedule a visit at Back Mountain Dental in Trucksville, PA. We serve patients from Wilkes-Barre, Scranton, and surrounding communities, offering quality sedation and cosmetic dentistry. Call us today, and we’ll help you afford the dental work you need (and the dental work you want).
