Sedation Dentist Wilkes Barre, Scranton, & Trucksville, PA

About half of Americans – that’s 50% of your neighbors, friends, and the people you meet every day – didn’t see a dentist last year. We don’t know for certain how many of these folks avoid the dentist because of fear, anxiety, stress, or bad past experiences in the dentist’s office. What we do know is that sedation dentistry can help people who avoid dental care because of these very real and serious concerns.

As a sedation dentist in Trucksville, PA, I help patients from Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, and surrounding communities overcome their dental anxiety to receive the dental care they need for optimal oral health and better quality of life.

Depending on your level of dental fear, I’ll recommend an appropriate medication to help you relax. I offer oral sedation, which is a small pill to be taken prior to a dental appointment. I also offer IV sedation in which my nurse anesthetist administers a sedative through the bloodstream.

Your fear of the dentist is unique to you. The reason behind it, the way your mind and body react to stress, and how you feel about the dentist are probably somewhat different than other people. No one has the exact same experiences in life. I want to talk about your concerns. Do you avoid going near the dentist’s office? Are you comfortable with checkups, but not procedures? Do you have a sensitive gag reflex or an inability to numb with local anesthetic? All of these issues, and others, can be addressed with dental sedation.

You can call me at 570-763-4360 to talk, but you can also email me at Feel free to contact me however you feel most comfortable. Let’s chat about the reasons you don’t visit the dentist. I’ll answer all of your questions about sedation dentistry and work with you to develop the right plan for the future of your smile.
